ProXpt's primary role is to manipulate and enhance gear profiles generated with the built-in Gear Designer or GearCAD. The generated DXF files can then be used as an input to NC programs for gear cutting or plastic gear mould production, CAD programs, etc.

- Built-in Gear Designer - Design Single Spur External & Internal Gears & Splines
- Organise you Profile Files with the Visual File Open dialog. It allows you to view gear profiles with all major parameters and gear graphics displayed while scrolling through the files list and can display files from multiple directories in a single window.
- Convert GearCAD's output from line format to arcs to reduce the number of entities in the DXF file by one hundred fold or more.
- Apply Tip Relief to the involute with user definable curve smoothing function.
- Apply Rounding to the corner of gear-tooth.
